UK Fitness Awards was established in 2014 to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of those within the leisure and fitness industry.
The awards are open to individuals and companies. Each of the categories is designed to celebrate best practice, from quality of work to motivational and inspirational achievements.
The awards aim to recognise achievements from individuals and organisations that haven't just excelled in their chosen fields but have other track records of success and inspiration. UK Fitness Awards is a non for profit organisation and receives no funding.
THE FIRST AWARDS OF 2024 WILL BE DEDICATED TO THE LOCKDOWN AND THOSE INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS THAT MADE A REAL DIFFERENCE TO THE UK FITNESS INDUSTRY. A FORMAL 2024 AWARDS WILL TAKE PLACE IN DECEMBER 2024.
Nominations will only be accepted with a supporting letter stating why you are nominating the individual / company and any supporting evidence. This can be via newspaper articles, websites, magazines or social media links. UK Fitness Awards does not charge for nominations, however you can only nominate an individual or company for a maximum of two categories. In instances of people nominating an individual for more than two categories, the Board will decide which category they are best suited to. Due to new GDPR policy, we don't inform you of who you were nominated by. There is no charge for nominating anyone.
Once nominations are in, the board decide which three are selected as finalists. This is based on the nomination strength i.e. was the person nominated suitable for that category, any supporting evidence, the number of nominations and any information known to the Board regarding the nominees. Once processed, the board vote to select the three finalists. This is then passed to the chairman who informs the judging panel along with all information regarding other nominees.
Please note - although rarely done, the judging panel reserve the right to override the boards decision on the three finalists if they see fit or deem other nominations to be stronger.
Once confirmed by All finalists will be informed 3 weeks before the event date.
The judging panel will meet on an undisclosed date prior to the event to vote from the final three. The winners names will be placed in sealed envelopes and given to the Chairman on the show.

THERE WILL ONLY BE THREE FINALISTS PER CATEGORY
Stephen is the author of best selling book "Burn the Bullshit". He is the current head of Blue Lion Search, a specialist recruitment company for blue chip clients. His background in the fitness sector is vast, co founding Fury MMA - one of London's leading MMA events and owning the Peak Performance Academy. He is a specialist lifestyle coach that works with A list celebrities.
Lori is a quality assurance consultant with significant experience working within leading awarding organisations and training providers within the Sport and Active Leisure sector in the UK and internationally. She was the former head of business development for YMCA awards and the Director of Business Development for VTCT.
Daniel is a director at Leisure Jobs having worked there for over 11 years. He brings a wealth of experience in business development, account management and sales management within the recruitment advertising sector, currently specialising within the leisure, hospitality, retail & travel sectors.
